How do I find a ww2 veteran I have a picture of from 1945? - my ww2 finds
I found her a photo album of my grandmother's old time. I've heard of his tragic love story of a man who married at the time. They were married in Texas. She moved to Washington when he in the war. The letters were never sent for her. Meanwhile, he thought he had married and left again. He spent the rest of his life a broken heart. I have a picture of him recently in an album. He was a handsome man, and now I'm curious to know what happened to him. I only know that his name was Gene, is originally from Maine, met my grandmother in Texas and the army in the 2nd World War, I think it was a sailor. How can I learn more?

The best thing to do is start posting photos online. Because it is the name of the only way we can find someone of this nature (the majority who were spending the night), if he recognizes the picture ... There are no military installations may apply to the Navy. Perhaps even a Marine recruiting office to see if they have something else that you can help in your search.
In this way, old friends can save the image and go, 'Oh that's Gene XXXXXXX ", and we'll give you a name ....
How do you know if you have never written letters to his grandmother ... Or his grandmother lives in Texas when they got married.
Like most veterans of World War II has disappeared. That would solve a difficult puzzle. Perhaps SOABLES ... .. You have a baby, while in Texas? Birth certificates, etc. ..
It was "genes" in uniform?
If so, ask the help of a recruiter, the congressman / woman, VFW, etc.to identifying insignia on his uniform.
The Department of the Army would probably have a record of your investments, you may be able to link his name or image of him.
Veterans of Foreign Wars is likely to offer much help.
How romantic!
