Everyone knows that the combination Fen-Phen caused problems, but I know that the doctors still prescribe phentermine (about a year or more) for themselves. Phentermine can be taken only causes pulmonary hypertension? My doctor told me, probably not, I wonder what they have heard others.

It may, yes. It's like Vioxx. May cause damage to the heart to those who heart disease (hypertension, CHF, angina, etc.) should never be prescribed Vioxx or phentermine.

What is the most important information I know about phentermine?

Be careful driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Phentermine can be dizziness, blurred vision, or restlessness, and may exacerbate the symptoms of extreme tiredness. If you experience these effects, avoid hazardous activities.
Phentermine is a habit. Perhaps physically and psychologically dependent on the drug and withdrawal effects may occur if you suddenly stop after several weeks of continuous use. Talk to your doctor about gradually with the cessation of this drug.
Do not crush, chew or open any "once daily" phentermine tablets or capsules. To swallow whole.

In other words, it is a demanding, not lead, no, to pulmonary hypertension.
